Hello all. We are thinking of purchasing a used 391 new holland tub grinder. Does anyone have any feed back on them, good or bad. we have to feed our calves differently this eyar since we didn't get any square bales made for mixing with our mixmill.

Can you run a 6m hay tedder in the "furrow" of a "ridge and furrow" field with the rotors working at an angle up the ridge on both sides? Can the frames and gears take the loading? Is there a manufacturer that is better than the others? It is all very good seeing videos of these machines working in flat fields but not all our fields are flat!! Is there another technique for driving, if we go across the ridges the link arms cannot keep up and the tedder will be digging in or tedding fresh air!

Anybody currently got one? Hopper sensor is playing up a little and I thought a camera might be handy anyway when it comes to sowing OSR.
Is this camera any better than an ebay one?
Planning to run it through the Trimble 750 screen with a Vapormatic cable as already got enough boxes in the cab without adding another monitor.
Wondering about whether a magnetic mount would be ok for mounting it inside the hopper, save drilling any holes. Is it possible to buy a mount similar to that used on magnetic trailer lights? Ebay doesn't turn up a great deal to suit from what I can see.
Thanks in advance!!

Been told that this drill wont sow down a steep hill, would it not work if it was driven slower, or how steep is steep :)

Been using contractor to do all our baling. about 1800 bales of straw and usually got about 500 bales of silage/haylage each year. was thinking of buying a baler to do our own. Just looking for suggestions on what machine is best. Is a budget of £10 to £12k realistic for something reasonable. Also whats considered high usage ie how many bales/year.

I have an old coventry climax forklift, the brakes are sticking and heating up. I have disconnected the hyd brakes and there is no pressure in the system (or oil!), the brake pedal works fine and returns to position. The brake cylinder works correctly, so I think that the brake drum pivots have become rusty and are not returning, the wheel is off but I can't shift the drum, the small screws used to push the drum off have stripped the threads and my pullers are too small, anyone got any bright ideas?
